Over 10 Years of the Pickle Design Calendar

I realised today that we have been designing calendars at Pickle Design for over 10 years now! Our first in 2008 was a simple introduction to the team in the form of a little book of bookmarks. I illustrated something to do with each member, including the postman, printers and freelancers, as a little something to hand-out for our clients.  For 2009 we went a little bigger and a little bolder. Carl had the idea of showing what inspired us as a design team so we illustrated 12 Things We Like as badges. It's All About That Blue Bottle

Image
Sunwink's new health beverages are as eye-catching as they are healthy. The unique blue bottles are actually very practical. Like beer the drink needs to be kept from sunlight, and this was a great solution.  The health drinks market is pretty crowded but the calming blue of the packaging together with those abstract illustrations make this bottle very pick-up-able. The sparkling herbal tonic is chockablock full of goodness, fitting in at least 1,000 mg of herbs, around 4 to 8 times more than you get in herbal tea.  The styling is also more concept art than soft drink, and in this current cold season I’d be pleased to give them a go!  Originally found at the Dieline .
