A Night in the Studio by Ina Hyun K Shin Home is Bear The Heart is by Mister Peebles The V&A Museum of Childhood invited 19 London based designers to imagine their dream room. The limitations were a 30 cm box, and the brief was to create their dream room in miniature, reflecting the idea of 'ideal' or 'fantasy' rooms for an exhibition of doll's houses dating from 1712 to 2001. Creative agency The Cut have condensed 100 years of hair and make-up styles into a 1 minute video. Quite fascinating seeing the trends move from cheeky flapper to big hair eighties and their take on the styles of 2010.  What I love about the time we live in is that we can take advantage of the wealth of visual history that comes before us and weave this inspiration into our everyday looks.  What do you think? I love everything about these beautiful sculptures from Tom Price . The colours produced have such depth, like exploring the depths of the ocean or a corner of the galaxy.  He starts by considering his materials. Selecting two contrasting components, resin and tar, one black and heavy the other clear and liquid, he allows them to wrestle it out to become a single entity.  In Synthesis, his new body of work exhibited in Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City which is running until January 2015, Price is interested in the untapped potential of familiar materials, and encourages them to react in unfamiliar ways.  What happens is the tar and resin vie for space. The tar heats and expands searching for gaps and routes and as it spreads depths of colour come forth and something quite special is created.
