Have you seen Tara Donovan's installations?

They are so intriguing!! Tara Donovan is an installation artist with immense patience. She creates strange structures that resemble something you might find on the deep sea bed, or perhaps an episode of Star Trek! 

She uses just a couple of materials but in an epic scale, like 1000s of tiny white buttons which when stuck with glue grow from the ground like stalagmites. 

Donovan is from New York and has one quite a few awards, including the MacArther Foundation's 'Genius' Award in 2008. 

I'm impressed, and slightly freaked out. But I definitely want to touch!
