From The Studio

I thought it was about time I show you some of our latest work at Pickle Design. It has been busy and varied in the studio, lots of lovely projects coming to fruition. 

Above is the website we created for Coast Creative Joinery, just a simple one page site with room to expand in the future. Image carousel and new logo sit centre stage. This wasn't a complete redesign, more of an update for their now well established brand. For the business card we used a clear spot varnish for a subtle but eye-catching memento. Below Coast we have the logo we designed for new climbing centre, The Prow. Simple, graphic and bringing that connection between coast and climb.

For fish and chip restaurant in Indian Queens, Port and Starboard, we designed a website allowing them to upload pdf menus when needed. The design reflects the importance of provenance to the newly established restaurant. To the right is another website, this time for Laid Back Coffee, part of Wadebridge's new container set up Saltbox. I illustrated pot plants and used vibrant colours with natural textures to communicate the right vibe. 

Next is The Bistro in Lostwithiel, an extension of the much loved Trewithen restaurant. We illustrated a new pattern to better represent this venture, less fine dining, more tapas and wine bar. 

For holiday cottage company Cornish Horizons we recently designed these brochures featuring soft touch covers, hand illustrated maps and lovely photographs. The large square format and uncoated stock add to the feel of luxury.

Down in the popular fishing village of Port Isaac is a great little sweet shop, used as the chemist in the TV series Doc Martin. We rebranded Harbour Treats complete with a lovely illustration (I loved doing this one!) and are currently designing some packaging for chocolate and biscuits. To the right is the guide book we created for Pencarrow House and Gardens, this guide book meant working with German copy as well as English! We designed it to fit in with the website we built, carrying on the look and feel but adding more context to this historic house and family.

Wadebridge Wines launched two new festivals this year, a Beer and Cider one and a very popular Rum and Tequila fest! Both needed new branding, above are the posters we designed. 

For elegant boutique Jo & Co we helped out in time for the Royal Cornwall Show. Our clients wanted to transform their tent into a luxury showroom. We designed wallpaper and wood panelling effect artwork to cover the sides of the tent as well as producing invites, vouchers and banners in their minimal and feminine style. 

That's just a taster! It's been a busy time with lots of lovely projects to work on. Currently I am working on signage for a restaurant, logo design for tasty (tried and tested) pizzas, and more beautiful hand drawn maps!
