Jean Shrimpton and David Bailey

A new drama based on the relationship between Jean Shrimpton and David Bailey will shortly be airing on BBC4, and having two extremely iconic figures of the 60s in one programme is a very appealing prospect!

The drama focuses on an unpredictable 1962 Vogue photo shoot in New York, while defining the style of the Sixties along the way, but also tells the story of the pair falling in love. We''ll Take Manhattan is currently in post production and is set to air now in 2012. The director, John McKay, has previously directed episodes of Life on Mars and other television programmes. He also writes. Karen Gillan and Aneurin Banard will play Jean and David, and a recent Vogue shoot shows that they look the part.

Definitely something to keep an eye open for, and worth buying the latest edition of Vogue.
